Well my little deviant-ites, I went to Amsterdam on an art trip about a week or so ago (sorry for the late post!) and I just want to say:

AMSTERDAM ROCKS!

I so wanna go back there and maybe retire there or something because I loved that city oh-so much. it was like discount-Ibitha!

There was so much to do, so much culture and art and yes, the red light district was certainly very interesting. No photos however. I didn't want to get beaten up by pimps and drug dealers from Holland.

we stayed at the world famous 'Hans brinker budget hotel' ( [link] and more pictures of the place here: [link]). And it really was a budget hotel. Cheap and hostel-like. My locker was even broken. And yes, I did doodle on it. If you ever stay in room one, you'll see my retarded scribbles all over locker B. ([link] )

They have the most kick ass adverts for their hotel too. I bought a load of their postcards. Their tag-line is ' It can't get any worse...but we'll try!'

Anyway, Amsterdam was wonderful.

Me and a few friends went to the Van Goth museum (which was pretty awesome seeing this guys works in the 'flesh' so to speak.

We then went to the Stedelijk Museum, which I totally dig because I love modern art. It's fun and insightful, even if it's minimalistic to the point of nothingness. it was really inspirational. I love that modern/graphic art style.

For example. there was an instillation movie of a load of Elvis' (Evli?) floating in a pink fluid and sometimes twitching as the camera endlessly went deeper and deeper into the pink fluid.



Yeah.

Then there was the Nemo science museum. We went out of sheer curiosity.



my god. Just imagine the science museum in London with 100% more buttons, bright colours, sounds and activities to do! I was so a 5 year old for the day it was great!

I learnt that:

animal foetuses are sweet and full of awesome, especially when pickled and of the double head variety

The DNA of HIV is very nice sounding when composed into musical notes

Showing kids novelty condoms is educational

My kids will look retarded.

Speaking of which; We went to the Sex museum 9becuase you MUST do that when you are a student in Amsterdam). Bad anim-electronics AHOY! that was incredibly funny.

Then we went shopping. I got tons of cool stuff but the total WINNER was a FEATHERED RAPTOR PLUSHIE. OH YEAH.



And then a journey home. Which was much nice then the 12 hour journey we had going there. x.x



OH AND THERE WAS MUCH PORN. IT WAS FRIGHTENING AND YET WONDERFUL.

In other news, I passed my Drawing and research classes with 60%! Not great, but it's way about the 40% you needed for a pass and that pleases me considering how hard it is when you first start the course.

also guys- please go give a hug and give him some praise for his art. nd real prise outside of 'cool!'. he would really appreciate it.
